I think Pan's Labyrinth is about a girl who sees "monsters" in her imagination. It takes place during World War 2. The mom is pregnant from her first marriage and her daughter seems to hate her stepdad. Its major theme is adventure and thriller. I think that it is pretty scary at times and shows how strong the imagination of a kid can be. At least that is what I think it is about from what I have read. The cinematography used is a lot of darker shots to make the film more of a thriller and gut wrenching. There are also creepy looking monsters from the girl's imagination that make it a bit more scary looking.

-I think the film is gonna be about someone who goes into the labyrinth of Pan and will need to sacrifice things to get to the end. From the picture's I've seen, it seems like the "monsters" (Pan) that are in the film take peoples mouth/smiles. It's major themes are probably about, morality and the difference between reality and non. Pan's Labyrinth definitely fits into the psychological horror. It has the disturbing images, has the uncomfortable feeling, and the on edge feeling.

Sweet Caroline

The first step we did was figuring out who was who and what part everyone had. Then we sat down in a group and all started brainstorming of what kind of topics/scenarios we want for our film. In the end we came down to an 80's party, but as soon as we started filming we decided against it and just had it as a regular party. When we were filming we had a lot of troubling times but we went through it day by day and in the end finished strong! Everyone did such a good job! For my proof/evidence is me being in the film and playing as Caroline.

If I were to do this film again I would make it so the party was more dress up sorta thing and that we would have more lights and better sound quality. I would also try and have more in the background this way it isn't black the whole time when it's a party scene.

The Fool

The first step was to assign roles to each of the four in the group. The second step to making this film was to write the script, which was my job, and then the director had to get the location release so we could film in the places we needed. We then filled out our talent forms which gave us permission to act in the film because we are under eighteen. Meanwhile, the story board was filled out by the cinematographer. After all of that was finished, we were able to begin filming. Because our film took place in school we were able to wear our normal clothing without having to use specific outfits. Most of the days were normal filming of the shots but a couple of the days we had to do special things like a slider or crane shot. For the lighting we used white balance and made the PAC shots darker than the rest to make it more of a horror movie. Lastly, our sound designer had to record footsteps, doors closing and opening, and other things like that to make all the sound sound better and match up correctly.

If I did this project again I would only change one thing. I would just want to have brightened the PAC a little more because it was maybe too dark. I think that the greatest success of the film was the fact that the decapitated head looked so scary. In my opinion the decapitated head really was the thing that brought the horror in this film to life.
