Themes in Conceptual Film

Politics and the Social Order:

In our world you are expected to do certain things. That doesn't just mean following the rules... It's more severe and harsher than that. Everyone looks to the higher classes, of what to do or how to do something. We are like puppets, being controlled by the government and the rich with not much say being taken into account. I'm gonna bring up the 2016 election for a second because, when we get to that time when we have to elect the next president you do sort of a background check seeing who you most agree on/who do you think will do the best job. People didn't vote that year because they either didn't like them, agree with them, or thought that they were horrible. And that made it all fall apart. Of all the years we have had elections and presidents... not once did any lady win. And that's because people look to men, to rich men.

I'm talking a lot about the government itself more than why I'm choosing this topic, so I'll move tot hat now. I chose this topic because I have wanted to change a lot about the way the government runs. Starting with the Earth and its people. Climate change and immigration are my main focus'. They aren't looked at enough or thought about too much by enough people that one day it's gonna be too late to change. The people coming in from their war torn country should be helped! Not pushed away! we should come together to stop their home from being destroyed to stop the war in all! That's the reason why I wanna make a short film on this to show how- when people don't pay attention to big causes that's right infront of their faces, it will be to late to change. Now it won't necessarily be mainly about those causes but they will be close to it and the short film will be close to a documentary type!

Themes in Conceptual Film

          Invention and Fantasy- I like invention and fantasy because of how creative you can get with it. The possibilities are endless but my personal favorite part about it is going back to the times of kings, queens, and knights. A good example of a shows and movies with this theme that I like are Game of Thrones, 300, and Lord of the Rings. I think it is fascinating that you can use fantasy stories to teach about modern lessons in an unreal situation. Invention and fantasy to me feels like it has the most possibilities of any theme to create a brand new never told story.

Some of  the most famous stories come from this theme such as King Arthur/Sword in the Stone. I think it is phenomenal some of the movies and tv shows that were made in this theme especially because of how difficult it can be. I think the hardest part is the costumes to be able to make them authentic. I have always liked making stories of fantasy lands and I would love to make a movie about it. I find that there is always a good big lesson too learn in invention and fantasy movies but there are also many smaller lessons along the way.

I chose invention and fantasy as my theme mainly because I think even though most of it is fake a lot of it relates to our every day lives. I think these movies teach us a lot even if we do not notice it. In conclusion, invention and fantasy is my favorite type of theme because of all the above reasons and wish to some day get more involved in this theme.
