The film Maker uses a montage in this part of the film "Karate Kid" for enhance the film in many ways. The mist important thing that the montage does is it shows a very long period of training and progress in the matter of minutes. A nothing this that the montage provided to the film is it gave a very intense, fast paced kind of tone to the training process of the character.
